INMECC NEWS : Town of Export Excellence (TEE) Scheme

The Ministry of Commerce and Industries has launched a scheme “Towns of Export Excellence (TEE)”, an initiative by the government as per the Foreign Trade Policy where status is provided to those towns which produce and export goods worth a minimum value in a specific sector.  Sectors under such towns can avail of financial assistance under Market Access Initiative (MAI) scheme, on a priority basis, for export promotion projects for marketing, capacity building and technological services. Common Service Providers in the Towns of Export Excellence are entitled to authorization under Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme.
