INMECC-KIF Steering Committee Charts Roadmap for Palakkad’s Investment Future

The INMECC – KIF Steering Committee met on 17 June 2026 at Holiday Inn, Ernakulam, to develop a strategic roadmap for promoting Palakkad as a premier investment destination and advancing the proposed Kanjikode Smart City initiative.

The meeting brought together industry leaders and experts who discussed Palakkad’s unique advantages, including its strategic location, industrial legacy, skilled workforce, connectivity, and investment-friendly environment. Members agreed on key action points such as preparing a “Why Invest in Palakkad” investment promotion document, identifying high-potential projects, establishing an Industrial Incubation and Facilitation Centre, strengthening collaboration between INMECC and KIF through an MoU, and engaging investors through national and international platforms.

The Steering Committee reaffirmed its commitment to creating sustainable industrial growth, attracting investments, and positioning Palakkad as one of India’s emerging industrial and business hubs.
